Our MissionWe believe that alcoholism/chemical dependency is a primary disease that, once activated, requires an individual's continuous commitment to recover over the course of his life.Our goals include admission of a problem, acceptance, abstinence, avoidance of relapse and a daily dedication to recovery. Successful attainment of these goals and the development of viable relationships that are other-centered are vital to the resident's recovery from alcoholism/chemical dependency. We provide a program that treats our residents with love and dignity and utilizes the 12-step program of A.A. and N.A. to guide and direct them to a new way of life. A sense of fellowship, coupled with moral and character building challenges, promotes productive social interaction with other residents in a caring community. We believe these are integral factors in helping the resident meet the challenges of life on life's terms, and the pursuit of their human potential. Carrying this message of recovery to even those who seem hopeless is the primary concern of each member of the Serenity Lodge staff, who demonstrate by example that our program does work. |
